MDP Summer Internship Spotlight

This summer, Mission Driven Purpose was elated to have Eric, Karelin, Mariah (not pictured), and Nathan, who were part of the 2022 cohort of interns for the MDP Summer internship program.

Our interns got attuned to the nonprofit enterprise and undertook various tasks with the organization.

We are pleased that our interns traipsed away from our internship with an enriched and broadened understanding of the nonprofit enterprise.

Below is a reflection piece from Karelin on her internship experience with Mission Driven Purpose.

  1. Tell us about yourself.
Hello, my name is Karelin Richardson. I am a freshman in college who enjoys watching movies and tv shows. I have a pet cat, but I hope to have a dog one day. My dream is to start a business in the beauty industry.
  2. What was your experience like with the MDP Internship Program?
Interning with Mission Driven Purpose was an enthralling experience; I gained a lot of experience about the nonprofit sector.
  3. What did you enjoy the most about your internship?
I enjoyed the independence this internship provided and it helped me become more accountable and responsible.
  4. How has your work with MDP impacted your future?
My internship experience with MDP taught me the ethical virtue of perseverance and how to become more self-motivated.
